Last week I had a reunion with my ex-coworkers. It's been fifteen years
since I met one of them last. The other girl also lives out of Kumamoto
and we don't have chance to see each other that often. I was so
excited to see them !
I used to work with them at a restaurant which was near Kumamoto
Interchange. The restaurant is gone now, but it was famous for the
"castle" shape. The restaurant was divided into three sections;
a typical Japanese style family restaurant, a shabu-shabu ( thinly
sliced meat boiled quickly with vegetable ) restaurant,
and a steak house.
Since all of us worked part-time, we were assigned to one section
after some trial. I worked for a Japanese style family restaurant,
and learned how to serve nice, make a variety of desserts and etc.
It was the very first place to work part time for me. Everything was
so new to me.
At that time time we were all teenagers and not married.
However, this time were are old enough to have kids. That was
impressing. I was glad to see our kids play and spend wonderful
moments together like we used to, though we didn't enough time to
talk because we were busy handling them.
I hope we will see some time again with our kids.
Fifteen years… wow, time files!!
